The Ohio State women’s basketball team claimed its 15th Big Ten regular-season championship Sunday, defeating Rutgers 73-45.
The No. 12 Buckeyes (25-5, 15-1) last won the regular-season title in 2010, which was the last of six straight championships. Ohio State won its final 11 games of the season, including a 98-87 win over No. 2 Maryland on Monday.

The Terrapins clinched a share of the title, but Ohio State will be the No. 1 seed at the Big Ten Tournament next weekend in Indianapolis.
Kelsey Mitchell led Ohio State with 21 points against the Scarlet Knights. The junior guard is averaging 23 points per game this season.
