During his weekly call-in show on Thursday, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer provided updates on injured players Dante Booker and Corey Smith.
Smith, the Buckeyes wide receiver, has been out for several weeks with a wrist injury. Meyer said Smith has been cleared to play against Northwestern, but will still be wearing a cast on his right hand.
As for Booker, who injured his knee in the season-opening win over Bowling Green, he is “close to ready,” per Meyer, who added the Buckeyes won’t force Booker back into the lineup before he’s completely ready.
