UNLV quarterback Armani Rogers apparently wasn’t impressed with Ohio Stadium or Ohio State fans.
After the Buckeyes rolled 54-21 in a Saturday blowout, Rogers had some surprising words about the noise level in the stadium — or, more accurately, the lack of noise.
“It was loud, but I expected it to be louder,” Rogers said. “Once you get going in the game, the sound kind of dies out because you’re just so in tune to the game. You don’t really pay attention to the noise. After that, you just go out there, have fun and keep the chains rolling.”
Rogers was 11 for 19 for 88 yards, no touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the loss. Ohio State outgained the Rebels 664-264 and had 34 first downs to UNLV’s 17.
UNLV dropped to 1-2. The Rebels started the season by losing to FCS Howard 43-40 before winning at Idaho, 44-16.
