With a 3-pointer in the second quarter of No. 12 Ohio State’s game against Rutgers on Sunday, Buckeye women’s basketball senior forward Shayla Cooper registered the 1,000th point of her career.

Cooper is averaging 10.5 points per game and 5.9 rebounds this season for the Buckeyes.
As a junior, she played in 32 games and averaged 13.3 points. As a sophomore, she played in 23 games and averaged 10.7 points, and as a freshman she played at Georgetown (two games, 32 points).
The 6-foot-2, Norcross, Georgia, native was leading the Buckeyes with nine points at halftime against the Scarlet Knights.
Cooper had 20 points in the team’s upset victory over No. 2 Maryland on Monday night.
