Ohio State should be sad, but can’t be mad with this loss.
On Thursday, it was announced that Buckeyes recruiting staffer Eron Hodges is moving on to Purdue. Hodges has been the Buckeyes’ assistant director of player personnel since December 2016 and is taking a step up with his career as director of player personnel for the Boilermakers.
Since Hodges has been at Ohio State, though it’s a small sample size, the Buckeyes have had top-notch recruiting classes. In both 2017 and 2018, Ohio State was ranked by 247Sports as having the No. 2 class in the country.
Prior to Hodges’ role as assistant director of player personnel, the 33-year-old was a recruiting analyst at Ohio State in 2015. Before that, he was a graduate assistant at Kent State.
This was Hodges’ second time with Ohio State, as from December 2012 to June 2013, he was a strength and conditioning intern.
According to cleveland.com, it isn’t known yet who will take Hodges’ role with the Buckeyes.
