It was lunchtime when the College Football Playoff Committee announced that Ohio State was in, so J.T. Barrett was treating it as such.
He watched his Buckeyes make the CFP alone on his couch with some chicken wings.
J.T. Barrett on watching the selection show: “I was at my house, alone on my couch, eating chicken wings.”

There was no follow up on what kind of wings or where they were from, and it clearly wasn’t a sign that the Buckeyes would play in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl. But the Buckeyes were allowed to go home this weekend, so there was no set gathering to watch the game.
Barrett simply grabbed some chicken wings, sat on his couch and watched his team take its place as a top-4 team in college football.
It was a much more subdued viewing than his coach, Urban Meyer had.
