Topics discussed on Inside the Shoe on Wednesday include:
- A hectic week for Buckeyes sports that included several disappointing finishes. After the women’s hockey team lost a 1-0 overtime heartbreaker on Friday, the Buckeyes were hit especially hard Saturday night when the men’s hockey team lost in overtime to Notre Dame in the Big Ten title game within the same hour of the basketball team losing to Gonzaga and the wrestling team falling just short of the NCAA team title to Penn State.
- The end of a stellar career for Buckeyes point guard Kelsey Mitchell, who finished her Ohio State career as the No. 2-scorer all-time in NCAA Division I women’s basketball. Her team’s overall accomplishments, however, will ring hollow.
- The commitment of 4-star running back Sampson James of Avon, Ind., and Kyle’s first impression of the newest Buckeyes commit based on a cursory viewing of highlight videos.
On Thursday, Ryan Ginn will check in to put a wrap on the basketball season and discuss the second week of spring football. Ryan Donnelly will join the show Friday for more on the commitment of James and the latest in 2019 football recruiting.
