Ohio State is going to be a big-time favorite despite going to a Saturday night road game at Wisconsin.
BetOnline.ag has Ohio State as a 10.5-point favorite in Madison, Wis. College GameDay will be there on Saturday as the Badgers try to shock the experts (and the college football world) with a home win.
That’s not without precedent, however. In 2010, No. 1 Ohio State visited the Badgers and Wisconsin upset the Buckeyes 31-18. Ohio State was playing its first game as No. 1 but then left Madison with a defeat.
However, things were much different a few years later. In the most recent meeting, Ohio State crushed Wisconsin 59-0 to win the Big Ten title and impress the College Football Playoff committee enough to get to No. 4 in the rankings. The Buckeyes went on to win the national title by beating Alabama and Oregon.
This time, Ohio State and Wisconsin will both likely be in the Top 10. The Buckeyes were most recently No. 2 while Wisconsin should get into the Top 10 after Saturday’s results. The Badgers were No. 11 in the AP Poll but three Top-10 teams lost. The new AP and Coaches Poll will be out Monday.
Ohio State and Wisconsin are set to play at 8 p.m. (ET) Saturday on ABC.
