With Ohio State having locked up the Big Ten East championship and a matchup against Wisconsin looming in the conference championship, Buckeyes fans are salivating over the possibility of earning a spot in the four-team College Football Playoff.
Before the Wisconsin game, though, the Buckeyes close out the regular season against arch-rival Michigan this coming Saturday. OddsShark released its Sunday prediction for the game: Ohio State 40.1, Michigan 24.3.
That would make for a much different atmosphere from the last time the teams played. The Buckeyes hosted the Wolverines on Nov. 26. 2016, winning a double-overtime classic, 30-27.
Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes certainly help OddsShark’s prediction is correct. Ohio State needs to look as strong as possible if it hopes to earn a spot in the four-team CFP, especially after its 55-24 upset loss to Iowa two weeks ago.
Ohio State has looked like a different team in the two weeks since, cruising to wins over both Michigan State and Iowa.
Michigan hosts Ohio State on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. EST on FOX.
