COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State continues to do whatever it wants on the recruiting trail.
The Buckeyes got a commitment Sunday afternoon from Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Blackman 3-star running back Master Teague, two days after Ohio State offered him on a visit to Columbus. Teague announced the commitment in a video that was recorded before he even had an Ohio State offer. (He said he made a version for all the schools he was considering at the time.)

“They’ve got a great staff [at Ohio State],” Teague told Land of 10 on Sunday afternoon. “It’s a great group of people that allow their players to be the best they can be on the field and a great support system to help them off of it. They help you give you experience for the real world, and for life after football, stuff like that. Overall, its just a great place to be and to be developed as a player and as a person.”
Teague is the No. 25 running back in the class 0f 2018 according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He is much more favorably viewed in 247’s own rankings, where he’s listed as a 4-star who is the No. 8 running back and No. 201 overall recruit.
Here’s what Ohio State recruits and staff members had to say. We’ll continue updating the list throughout the day.
4-star OT Max Wray, Ohio State commit
“He’s a great guy off the field. He’s also a freak athlete and will help our team win games in the future.”
4-star LB Teradja Mitchell, Ohio State commit
“It’s great to add a player with that kind of big time playmaking ability. Very beneficial to the class and team as far as talent comes.”

Writers and recruiting analysts
Teague’s commitment also brought forth some opinions and praise from recruiting analysts and writers. Here’s a compilation of what they had to say.
B1G recruiting chasm: Master Teague III is (for now) Ohio State's 13th-highest rated commit. He'd be top-3 for 9 of the other 13 schools.

Watching Master Teague's junior highlight tape. I don't understand recruiting rankings. How is he a three-star prospect?

Glad a scrappy underdog program like Ohio State could pick up a big commitment. https://t.co/doqO0F5aGf
