J.T. Barrett has a chance to do some special things with an uber-talented Ohio State roster this season, and he got his start early in the Buckeyes’ first game on Thursday night in Bloomington, Ind.
Barrett got off to a solid start in his first drive against Indiana, completing his first 4 pass attempts for 55 yards, giving him Ohio State’s career offensive yards record in the process. Art Schlichter, who played quarterback for the Buckeyes from 1978-81, previously held the record with 8,850 yards.

Barrett’s efforts helped Ohio State claim an early 3-0 lead, but the Hoosiers countered with a touchdown to take a 7-3 first-quarter lead.
