Those are some of the accolades Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett earned for his stellar performance against Nebraska over the weekend.
On Tuesday, Barrett received another honor: Davey O’Brien national quarterback of the week.

Barrett accounted for 7 touchdowns (5 passing and 2 rushing) in the Buckeyes’ 56-14 win at Nebraska on Saturday night. He went 27-for-33 through the air for 325 yards and added 48 rushing yards. And he accomplished all of this before exiting early in the fourth quarter.
About midway through the season, Barrett leads the nation in points responsible for (158) and is tied for the lead with 21 touchdown passes. He’s emerged as a leading Heisman candidate and will have a chance to prove himself against some of the nation’s top programs down the stretch.
Ohio State travels to No. 2 Penn State this weekend and will play No. 18 Michigan State and at No. 19 Michigan in November.
