Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett quarterbacked the East team in the Shrine Game this weekend, passing for 69 yards on 13 attempts in the senior showcase.
He also signed this tremendous autograph on a helmet:

In case that’s a little hard to read, it says:
It was a 1st Down Harbaugh
OSU 30, TTUN 27
That, of course, is a direct callback to The Spot in Ohio State’s 30-27 win over Michigan in 2016. Barrett just made it over the first down marker on a crucial fourth-down conversion in overtime, and you can probably convince me that he did or didn’t make it depending on what time of day it is.
Now a helmet with Barrett’s signature and “It was a 1st Down Harbaugh” now exists. Ohio State corners of the internet can thank him for that.
Barrett spent a large portion of his day signing autographs on Sunday.

“If you’re good to the fans, the fans will be good to you, so I think it speaks a lot about Buckeye Nation, the people within it and how much they love Ohio State,” Barrett told Eleven Warriors while still signing autographs, more than seven hours after he arrived. “I’m just glad that they were able to stand in line and help me out a little bit.”
Barrett’s final game at Ohio State was the Buckeyes’ 24-7 win over USC in the Cotton Bowl. He’s headed to the pros, where NFL Draft Scout projects him as a 6th- or 7th-round pick.
