It appears the Buckeyes are losing a member of their secondary.
Cornerback Joshua Norwood will seek a transfer after two seasons with Ohio State, according to a report from the Columbus Dispatch. The Dispatch also reported that Norwood, a Valdosta, Ga. native, likely would transfer to Georgia Southern.
After redshirting in 2015, Norwood appeared in 11 games for the Buckeyes in 2016. He made 8 tackles, one of which went for an 8-yard loss.
The 5-foot 10, 185-pound Norwood was a member of Ohio State’s 2015 recruiting class and was rated as a 3-star recruit out of high school. He was considered the No. 49 cornerback in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
