Ohio State honors Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder during rout of Bowling Green
There was a lot happening Saturday as Ohio State opened its season with a resounding 77-10 victory over Bowling Green at Ohio Stadium.
In between the 11 touchdowns and a “Giant Script Ohio,” Ohio State found time to honor 2016 Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder during the first half.
The junior wrestler showed off his hardware to the Buckeye faithful, took in the game (and halftime show) and posed for a photo with legendary running back Archie Griffin. (Or was it the other way around?)
There's nothing like Buckeye Nation! The support is unreal. Thank you all! pic.twitter.com/Zx2qliPCd8

He also ran into some former Ohio State players currently playing in the NFL, and even stopped for a photo with a lucky Bowling Green fan. It’s the least he could do, right?

Snyder became the youngest American wrestler to win a gold medal last month, when he defeated Khetag Gazyumov from Azerbaijan in the 97-kilogram finals in Rio. At 20 years old, he’s eyeing the title of “best wrestler in the world.”
