Although the 2017 college football season has only been over for about a month now, Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer already has his team gearing up for the 2018 season.
Winter workouts have begun in Columbus, and that includes the team going through early-morning mat drills. The team’s Twitter account released a video on Tuesday of Ohio State players going through these grueling winter workouts at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Here is the tweet:

Throughout the video, there are shots of several players — such as running back J.K. Dobbins and defensive end Nick Bosa — going through intense mat drills, while also dishing out some trash talk in the process. The video also features a few shots of Meyer motivating the team, and his motivational speech is played throughout the video.
The video is so intense that Meyer’s wife, Shelley, made it clear that she wants no part of these workouts.
🙋♀️I have energy! I can get it done! Well…maybe not mat drills. 🤦♀️ But dinner and laundry, yes! 💁♀️👍

Since we are only a month into the college football offseason, it is safe to say that this won’t be the only winter workout video we get from the Buckeyes.
