Steele Chambers commits to Ohio State

The Buckeyes landed 2019 athlete Steele Chambers in a bit of a surprising commitment Wednesday night. Chambers, who plays both running back and linebacker, is rated as a 4-star recruit from Roswell, Ga. Chambers is the third commitment in a week for Ohio State, which now has six pledges in its 2019 recruiting class. Land of 10’s Ryan Donnelly broke down what Chambers’ commitment means for the Buckeyes.

Matthew Burrell announces transfer from Ohio State

Offensive lineman Matthew Burrell announced he would be transferring from Ohio State’s program on Wednesday night. Burrell, a redshirt junior in 2018, did play but he was not a starter in either of the last two seasons. He was projected as a second-string guard for the Buckeyes in 2018. “Crazy spring for me, but everything will work out the way it’s supposed to!” Burrell wrote in an Instagram post.

How Ohio State landed J.K. Dobbins

J.K. Dobbins has quickly developed into a household name among Ohio State fans. But how exactly did the running back from a small Texas town end up in Columbus? Land of 10’s Ryan Ginn wrote a detailed account of Dobbins’ recruitment to Ohio State. It featured a lot of dedication from Urban Meyer and the Ohio State staff to pluck a talented player out of a town where “there ain’t no Ubers, there ain’t no taxis.”

‘No new news’ in Ohio State QB battle

Kevin Wilson met with reporters Wednesday, and though they — along with a lot of Buckeyes fans — were hoping for an answer on a starting quarterback, Ohio State’s offensive coordinator did not have one. “It’s delicate. It’s tough. And it can be very, very fragile,” Wilson said of the team’s handling of the quarterback battle between Dwayne Haskins and Joe Burrow. “But that’s why we have to work together and be honest moving forward.”
