Playing in the Under Armour All-America Game is already a big deal in of itself, but being named a team captain in the game is an even bigger honor.
ESPN’s Gerry Hamilton tweeted on Wednesday that Ohio State 4-star commit Teradja Mitchell will be a defensive captain in the game.
Here is the tweet below:
Being selected a team captain by coaches at Under Armour @AllAmericaGame is a big deal … means week of impressive & consistent performance + leadership

As Hamilton points out, being named a team captain in the All-American Game is something that is well earned throughout the week of practice. It means that the player stood out among the rest in terms of performance and leadership. Mitchell, out of Bishop Sullivan Catholic in Virginia Beach, Va., did enough to earn the honors of being a team captain.
The All-America Game features the top high school players from around the country. The players are divided on two teams — Team Highlight and Team Spotlight. Mitchell and Virginia Tech commit Cam Goode were named as the team captains for Team Highlight.
The game will kick off at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday (on ESPN2) from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
