Ohio State coaches hit the recruiting trail

Ohio State’s coaching staff has an extra week before the Penn State game, which means more freedom to visit recruits this week. Urban Meyer, for example, was in Texas on Monday with Greg Schiano to see cornerback target Anthony Cook and defensive tackle commit Antwuan Jackson.

Buckeyes’ injured players ‘probable’ for Penn State

A number of players exited the Nebraska game with injuries, but Meyer said they should all be ready to take on the Nittany Lions. That list included Parris Campbell, Jamarco Jones, Mike Weber and Jalyn Holmes.

“All are very probable,” he said. “They’ll all be ready to go next week.”

Ezekiel Elliott allowed to play … for now

The six-game suspension the NFL imposed on Ezekiel Elliott seems inevitable, but he was spared again on Tuesday with another temporary restraining order.

The ruling from a federal judge will allow him to play on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers and almost certainly the following weekend against the Redskins. But anything beyond that remains in doubt.
