Ohio State falls to No. 16 in AP poll

Ohio State’s tough week led to the Buckeyes falling from No. 8 to out of the top 15. Ohio State was ranked 16th in the latest Associated Press Top 25, which was released Monday afternoon. The fall comes after Ohio State lost two games in four days. Chris Holtmann’s squad fell at Penn State on Thursday night and then came up short against Michigan on Sunday.

Tied with Purdue for second place in the Big Ten, Ohio State hosts Rutgers Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network. It will be senior night at the Schottenstein Center and Keita Bates-Diop ― a fourth-year junior with another season of eligibility ― will be one of four players honored.

While the Buckeyes dropped in the AP poll, they held steady as a No. 4 seed in Joe Lunardi’s updated NCAA Tournament projection.
