On Wednesday, the NFL’s Tennessee Titans officially announced the assistant coaches that will join the coaching staff of the Mike Vrabel.
Vrabel, a former Ohio State player and linebackers/defensive line coach, was hired as the Titans head coach on Jan. 20. The news of the team’s coaching staff comes only one day after the Titans named Matt LaFleur and Dean Pees as the offensive and defensive coordinators, respectively.
The new names that have joined the Titans coaching staff are Craig Aukerman (special teams), Shane Bowen (outside linebackers), Kerry Coombs (secondary), Tyrone McKenzie (inside linebackers), Rob Moore (wide receivers) and Pat O’Hara (quarterbacks). Arthur Smith will remain as the team’s tight ends coach.

There is plenty of playing and coaching experience on that staff, both at the college and professional levels.
However, the one name that will stand out to Ohio State fans is Coombs, who was been the Buckeyes secondary coach from 2012-17. Coombs helped Urban Meyer and Ohio State to boast one of college football’s top secondaries year-in and year-out.
