Dwan Mathis flips from Michigan State to Ohio State

Ohio State has its quarterback in the 2019 class. Dwan Mathis flipped his commitment from Michigan State to Ohio State on Sunday evening. Mathis, a 4-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 251 prospect in the 2019 class and the ninth-ranked pro-style quarterback. Dwayne Haskins works out with Deshaun Watson

Dwayne Haskins spent some time training with Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson over the weekend. Ohio State fans might have some not-so-fond memories of Watson from the 2016 Fiesta Bowl, but the former Clemson quarterback gave Haskins some pointers as the sophomore enters his first year as the Buckeyes starter. Haskins has also worked out with Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown this offseason.

Joey Velazquez commits to Michigan

Joey Velazquez is a two-sport star in high school, and he originally was committed to play baseball at Ohio State. Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, Velazquez announced his commitment to Ohio State’s biggest rival on Friday. Velazquez made a pledge to Michigan, where he will play both baseball and football. ““I’ve always, ever since I was a little kid, thought I was going to be like Bo Jackson and play both sports in college,” he said.
