Craig Young commits to Ohio State
Craig Young, a 3-star athlete in the 2019 class, became Ohio State’s latest commit, making his pledge to the Buckeyes on Friday night. Young, from Fort Wayne, Ind., is considered the No. 550 player in the 2019 class by the 247Sports composite ratings. Young is the 11th verbal commit in Ohio State’s 2019 class and also had interest from Indiana, Michigan State, Wisconsin and others.

Urban Meyer confirms Haskins will enter camp as starter
This won’t come as a surprise, but Urban Meyer confirmed that Dwayne Haskins will be Ohio State’s starting quarterback entering training camp. Haskins has the job after Joe Burrow transferred to LSU following a tight QB battle throughout the spring. Meyer confirmed Haskins’ spot atop the depth chart to ESPN this weekend. ESPN also reported that Meyer said Tate Martell “will compete for the top job” during camp.
How will new touchback rule impact Ohio State?
Starting this season, kick returners will be allowed to make a fair catch anywhere inside their 25-yard line and have it result in a touchback. Meyer has not commented on the rule change since it passed, but Land of 10’s Ryan Ginn explored the impact it could have for the Buckeyes on special teams.
