Ohio State football: Alternate jerseys cause stir, 4-star WR Kamryn Babb gives update
Ohio State football is the No. 1 topic in Wake Up Sloopy every day — but we cover news, notes and analysis from across Buckeyes sports. Join us each morning to get caught up on everything you missed in the world of Ohio State football, recruiting, basketball and more.
Nobody likes Ohio State’s alternate jerseys
Fans got a full look at the gray alternate jersey the Buckeyes will be wearing for the Penn State game, and the reviews were not favorable. Both fans and football writers alike seem to agree that this particular iteration of alternate uniforms didn’t get the job done.
“Let’s take an iconic college football uniform and just make everything really gray.” – Someone at Nike

The good news for Buckeyes fans, though, is that if Ohio State wins the resulting joy will make the issue seem trivial and if Ohio State loses those uniforms will never be heard from again.
Kamryn Babb working to get healthy
Ohio State wide receiver target Kamryn Babb, a 4-star in the 2018 247Sports composite rankings, is working to get healthy after tearing his ACL in August.
“It’s been pretty good, no change or anything like that,” he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “All the same schools that were talking to me before the injury are still talking to me. … So I’m just taking one day at a time, giving them an update on my rehab. It’s going pretty good. Nothing’s changed.”
Ezekiel Elliott explains his appeals
Ezekiel Elliott won another ruling against the NFL on Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean he’s content with how the case is progressing.
On Wednesday, while speaking with Dallas Cowboys reporters, Elliott shed some light on why he’s so vigorously defending himself and what he believes is at stake.
