Ohio State was dealt a big blow in the first half of its opener against Bowling Green.
DT Tracy Sprinkle was carted off the field after injuring his right knee in the first quarter. Dre’mont Jones replaced the redshirt junior.

Sprinkle appeared in all 13 games for the Buckeyes last year, but made just four tackles with a fumble recovery as a reserve lineman. He was expected to see more significant time this year, and Ohio State’s defensive line depth was supposed to be among its strengths.
