Ohio State 4-star commit J.K. Dobbins might be better than just a 4-star prospect.
Dobbins proved his elite status after winning the Sparq rating championship at The Opening, which is Nike’s premier summer camp that features more than 160 of the top prospects in the nation.
The La Grange, Texas native won the competition with a 146.76 rating and finished in the 99th percentile among his peers in all five categories.

Dobbins even received his trophy from a former Buckeyes tailback. Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was on hand to present Dobbins with his award.

Dobbins is currently rated as the No. 50 recruit nationally in the Class of 2017 and the No. 3 all-purpose back in the country. His recruiting stock might skyrocket after this impressive performance at one of the most prestigious recruiting camps of the season.
One of the crown jewels of Urban Meyer’s 2017 recruiting class, Dobbins said he wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary.
“I’m just out here doing what I do,” Dobbins told Landof10. “I let the rest take care of itself.”
