The Ohio State Buckeyes learned their College Football Playoff fate early Sunday afternoon — a No. 3 ranking and a New Year’s Eve date with No. 2 Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl.
A bit later in the afternoon, Ohio State learned what time its game will start.
The Fiesta Bowl will be the second playoff game on Dec. 31, kicking off at 7 p.m. in Glendale, Ariz. Alabama and Washington will get things started at 3 p.m. in the Peach Bowl.

Can the Buckeyes pick up a huge win right before the ball drops for 2017? It’d be a great way to ring in the New Year.
For what it’s worth, the Buckeyes College Football Playoff semifinal win against Alabama two seasons ago also came in the second semifinal of the day.
