Ohio State had a robust list of recruits on hand for the 2018 spring game on Saturday at Ohio Stadium, drawing nearly 50 from across four classes to Columbus to check out the Buckeyes program.

Land of 10 has been in touch with many of those players and has reaction to Ohio State’s spring game.

Also, make sure to check out the full list of confirmed visitors to Ohio State’s spring game on Land of 10.

Garrett Wilson, a 2019 4-star wide receiver from Austin, Texas, on his official visit to Ohio State: “The visit has been awesome so far. The energy around the spring game was cool to see.”

Ronnie Hickman, Ohio State’s latest 2019 commit and a safety from New Jersey: “The visit was another great experience. I got to know some families and watch some great football. My family and I enjoyed ourselves as always.”

Landon Tengwall, a 2021 offensive lineman from Maryland who was offered during his visit: “The trip up here meant a lot. It was a great experience and the game was a lot of fun. The best part was speaking and meeting with the coaches — they are all great guys who are some of the best coaches in the world. I love how much emphasis they put on the academics and life after football. This is one of the best programs in the nation and they are at the top of my list.”

Josh Proctor, a 2018 safety signee from Oklahoma: “Every time I come back to Columbus, it’s nothing but excitement and good vibes. The fans are amazing. The atmosphere is unmatched and you can’t help but imagine what it’s going to be like stepping on that field for the first time in uniform.”

K’ymon Pope, a 2019 quarterback from Virginia and the younger brother of 2018 linebacker signee K’Vaughan Pope: “The experience was amazing. They had a great atmosphere and I would love to play there one day. It surely makes you feel home with the coaching staff because they take care of the players.”

Jamel Hamm, a 2018 defensive back and graduate of Cleveland Glenville who is in a post-grad year at Fork Union (Va.): “It was a really great experience. The spring game and fans were amazing as expected. I enjoyed Ohio State and the coaching staff is amazing.”

Cormontae Hamilton, a 2019 tight end from Memphis, Tenn.: “I enjoyed seeing the Buckeyes play and seeing my position, tight end, being well used for the Ohio State offense. About the visit, man, I definitely loved it and I will be back soon. I enjoyed the tour around the facility and had great talks to a couple of coaches.”

Roen McCullough, a 2018 Ohio State walk-on as a long-snapper and the younger brother of Buckeyes long-snapper Liam McCullough: “Coming to Ohio State is always a great experience. It’s exciting to meet a ton of the incoming guys in my class, as well as following up with a bunch of current players. Seeing Liam have perfect snaps, Sean [Nuernberger] go 100 percent on field goals and Drue [Chrisman] flip the field really well shows how strong the special teams unit is. It makes me look forward to being a Buckeye.”

Javontae Jean-Baptiste, a 2018 Ohio State defensive end signee: “My thoughts on the game were that it was great. We have a lot of great athletes who love to compete and that’s what they did [Saturday]. My visit went very well and getting around the guys I’m going to be with for three to four years felt great.”

Sam Wiglusz, a 2018 Ohio State wide receiver walk-on: “The Horseshoe just has an amazing atmosphere, even for a spring game, and being from Ohio and a Buckeye fan my whole life, it’s crazy to watch an event like that knowing I’m going to be a part of it all really soon. I also had a great time meeting and getting to know some of my future teammates from my class.”

Cameron Brown, a 2018 Ohio State athlete (WR/DB) signee from St. Louis: “The trip was amazing. I got to see the new squad play and I’m just seeing myself playing next to them guys and winning THE BUCKEYE WAY #GoBucks.”

Ethan Wright, a 2020 in-state athlete from the Akron area: “I had a great time at the spring game [Saturday]. The people and the environment at Ohio State is unlike any other place. I’m excited to visit again sometime soon.”
