The Buckeyes went 25-9 in Chris Holtmann’s first season. The Buckeyes flirted with a regular season Big Ten title and made the second round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament before they were bounced by No. 4 seed Gonzaga. Ohio State finished last season ranked No. 21 in the USA Today coaches poll and was 16th in the final KenPom rankings.
Ohio State heads into next season without Keita Bates-Diop, the 2017-18 Big Ten Player of the Year. The Buckeyes also lose three productive seniors in Jae’Sean Tate, Kam Williams and Andrew Dakich to graduation.
