Sorry, Ohio State fans. The Buckeyes have not won the national title in men’s basketball, no matter what you saw on the White House Snapchat account.
Multiple championship college teams visited the White House on Friday and that list included the Ohio State men’s volleyball team, which won the 2017 national title against BYU.
The team posed for a picture with President Trump with one player holding an Ohio State jersey and another carrying a volleyball. However, the White House mistakenly called the team “Ohio State Men’s Basketball.”
They caught the error and fixed the photo, but not before the image made its way to the Internet.

The Buckeyes’ basketball team, who were picked to make the Final Four by one analyst, is off to a 3-0 start in Chris Holtmann’s first season. Many Ohio State basketball fans would be happy with the team’s first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since the 2014-15 season. It’d be the first step before the program can think about earning an invite to the White House.
