Ohio State’s immediate future hinges on Keita Bates-Diop’s NBA decision
Keita Bates-Diop has another year of eligibility left at Ohio State, and he’s currently in the process of deciding if he wants to use it. Bates-Diop has not made up his mind yet about entering the 2018 NBA Draft, but his decision will shape the Buckeyes’ immediate future, Land of 10’s Ryan Ginn writes. Ohio State’s outlook for the 2018-19 season would be vastly different with Bates-Diop back in the picture. The 2017-18 Big Ten Player of the Year said of the choice: “It might be the hardest decision I’ll ever make.”

Freshman DT Tommy Togiai impresses during circle drill
Ohio State’s early enrollees are trying to earn the respect of their teammates during spring practice. Tommy Togiai took a big step in doing that this week. Togiai, a defensive tackle in Ohio State’s 2018 class who enrolled in January, had an impressive circle drill at an Ohio State practice, pushing a blocker 10 yards to his teammates’ delight.

Coach Chris Holtmann isn’t wasting time now that Ohio State basketball’s offseason is here. The Buckeyes extended an offer to 2019 small forward Malik Hall on Tuesday. Hall, a 4-star prospect from Wichita, Kan., is considered the No. 54 overall player in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite ratings.
