They’re called “The Best Damn Band in the Land” for a reason.
Not only can Ohio State’s marching band put on dazzling performances, but at least one member has a serious leg. Ohio State’s marching band posted a video to Twitter on Tuesday night of one band member stepping up and drilling a 55-yard field goal.

No kicker in the Big Ten this season hit a field goal longer than 53 yards. So no matter the circumstances, a 55-yarder is impressive.
Ohio State’s current kicker, Tyler Durbin, is a walk-on. But he’s also a senior, meaning the team could be looking for other walk-on candidates to replace him after the season wraps up.
And Urban Meyer might want to start at band practice.
