Some newborns in Columbus are sharing a timely message. Babies at Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center were being wrapped in “Beat USC” blankets this week as the Buckeyes prepare to face the Trojans in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night.
‘Beat USC’ blankets wrap newborns at Ohio State’s medical center
The No. 5 Buckeyes are hoping to prove that they belonged in the College Football Playoff with a big win over USC, the champion of the Pac-12. It is the third consecutive high-profile matchup for Ohio State, which closed the regular season with a comeback win over Michigan in Ann Arbor and then a close victory over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game.
The Buckeyes-themed blankets are nothing new at the Wexner Medical Center, though. The hospital also wrapped newborns in “Beat
Michigan” blankets in November before The Game. Maybe the blankets will continue to be good luck for the Buckeyes.
