After building a 2017 recruiting class stacked with top cornerback prospects, Ohio State has added yet another impressive corner, this time to its 2018 class.
The Buckeyes scored a commitment Wednesday from 247Sports 4-star recruit Sevyn Banks, according to the Orlando Sentinel. He is the Buckeyes’ ninth 2018 commit and the first at his position.
Ohio State Kerry Coombs seemed to confirm the commitment with a tweet about visiting Orlando, where Banks lives.

Banks chose Ohio State ahead of Florida, Auburn, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Louisville and others.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Banks is the No. 22 cornerback and No. 201 overall prospect in the class. He adds to a Buckeyes 2018 class that ranks in the top 5 nationally.
