We’re still more than two months out from the college football national championship game, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about potential matchups.
Oddsmakers certainly have. Ohio State-Alabama, to be exact.
And they give the Crimson Tide the edge.

Obviously there’s a long, long, long way to go, but it’s not surprising Alabama is given the early edge. Nick Saban’s team has looked pretty unbeatable and appears destined to repeat as national champion.
Still, tough to bet against the Buckeyes on a neutral field against almost anyone. We all saw what happened when these two met in the College Football Playoff on the first day of 2015, when the Buckeyes prevailed 42-35.
The spread that night was Alabama -9.
