Ohio State forward Andre Wesson had to leave the Buckeyes’ first round NCAA Tournament matchup against South Dakota State on Thursday after falling to the ground on defense and appearing to injure his ankle.
Wesson was defending junior guard Brandon Key, who followed a nasty crossover with a mean pump fake, which sent Wesson hurtling to the ground and his left leg buckling beneath the weight of his body. Wesson left the game but returned before the start of halftime. The Buckeyes and JackRabbits were tied at 43 through the first half.
