After reports linked Ohio State’s Joe Burrow to LSU on Friday, the quarterback officially announced his transfer to LSU. Burrow will immediately be eligible to play and will compete for the starting job for the 2018 college football season.
While Burrow is no longer a member of the Buckeyes, he is receiving support from former Ohio State teammate Michael Thomas. The New Orleans Saints wide receiver took to Twitter to support Burrow’s transfer, claiming he is now an LSU fan.

Considering Thomas plays for Louisiana’s professional football team, he already has a good reason to support the state’s most prominent college football program. With Burrow at LSU, rooting for the program is that much easier for Thomas.
Thomas and Burrow were teammates at Ohio State for one season (2015). Thomas was playing in his final season with the Buckeyes while Burrow was spending his first season with the program as a redshirt.
Burrow has two years of eligibility remaining.
