Luke Fickell officially started full-time as Cincinnati’s coach this week.
As the ex-Buckeyes defensive coordinator and longtime Ohio State assistant transitions to take over his own program, his former school is wishing him luck.
Ohio State took out a full-page advertisement in the Cincinnati Enquirer on Friday to thank Fickell for his service to the Buckeyes program. Fickell played linebacker for Ohio State from 1993-96 and then was an assistant coach for the last 15 seasons.
Here’s how Ohio State said thanks:
Fickell accepted the Cincinnati job last month, but he stayed on Ohio State’s staff through the Fiesta Bowl.
