Ohio State dominated the 2016 NFL Draft. Now some of those stars are coming home — in a way.
The Buckeyes have added photos of RB Ezekiel Elliott and WR Mike Thomas outside the position groups’ meeting rooms at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Elliott went fourth overall to the Dallas Cowboys and made the Pro Bowl in his rookie season. He also led the league in rushing yards with 1,631 yards — more than 300 yards ahead of No. 2 finisher Jordan Howard. Thanks to Elliott, the Cowboys went 13-3 for the NFC’s best record. Though Dallas lost to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs, Elliott rushed for 125 yards in his first NFL postseason game.
Thomas also had a huge rookie season, ranking No. 9 in receiving yards with 1,137 yards. He was a second-round pick by the New Orleans Saints.
On Wednesday, Buckeyes staffers Sean Buckley and Zach Smith shared photos of the new decorations that feature the new NFL stars — and former Ohio State standouts.
