Some of the last babies born in Columbus, Ohio, in 2016 are getting a spirited Scarlet and Gray welcome.
Between Wednesday and Saturday, any baby born at Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center will have the option to get a “Beat Clemson” blanket or sleep sack. The blankets include the date of the game, 12-31-16, and a #BuckeyeBaby hashtag.

This isn’t the first time this season the Wexner Medical Center has done this sort of thing. In the week leading up to Ohio State’s regular-season finale with Michigan, newborns were being swaddled in “Beat Michigan” blankets.
It worked last month when the Wolverines were sent packing with a double-overtime loss. The staff at the hospital is hoping the “Beat Clemson” blankets prove to be another good luck charm for the Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl.
