Ohio State fan LeBron James had some fun at the expense of the Buckeyes’ top rival on Monday.
Speaking with reporters, James acted like he didn’t know who Ohio State faced this weekend in The Game. Even though he referenced the Big House, James pretended he did not know who was the Buckeyes’ next opponent and refused to say the name of That Team Up North. Here’s how the exchange went down:
James: “We’re looking forward to the matchup. We’re looking forward to going into the Big House and coming out victorious. Who do we play this week? Who does Ohio State play?”
Reporter: “They play Michigan.”
James: “Who? I don’t even know. Who is that?”

James, an Akron native, has been a longtime Ohio State fan. He’s attended a handful of Buckeyes’ games, including the 2014 national championship and last year’s thrilling, double-overtime win over the Wolverines. The NBA supserstar has also made his mark on the Buckeyes’ program, which has worn LeBron cleats for a few different big games over the last few seasons.
