Latest mic’d up: Ohio State assistant Tony Alford
Ohio State continues to produce practice videos leading up to the season to help Buckeyes fans get a closer look at this year’s team. The latest video features RB coach Tony Alford.

This is only Alford’s second season at Ohio State, as he came to Columbus from Notre Dame. In his first season, Alford had Ezekiel Elliott to work with — and Elliott rushed for more than 1,800 yards. So this season figures to be a big test for the RB unit.
Redshirt freshman Mike Weber, assuming he gets the number of carries typical of a starter, has obvious breakout potential.
It seems Alford is not afraid to keep things simple.
“Too much dancing. Trust the cut,” Alford said in the video.
