Ohio State’s depth chart is out for the Buckeyes’ Week 3 matchup against Army, and nothing has changed from Week 2. That includes quarterback.
Following the Buckeyes’ 31-16 loss to Oklahoma at home Saturday night, and again at his Monday news conference, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said he wasn’t considering benching J.T. Barrett. On Tuesday, he confirmed it in keeping the senior atop the depth chart.
“Any decision about any personnel is strictly about who gives us the best opportunity to win. … Right now it’s not even a question,” Meyer said of Barrett on Monday.
Backup QB Joe Burrow, who threw in warmups during the game Saturday and was described as “pretty close to returning,” was not listed on the depth chart. Redshirt freshman Dwayne Haskins is still listed as the backup quarterback, and freshman Tate Martell is listed as the third-stringer.
Ohio State (1-1), ranked No. 8 in The AP Top 25, hosts the Black Knights at 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday. Fox will broadcast the game.
