Future Big Ten defensive linemen and pass rushers alike should probably take note of Ohio State commit Josh Myers. He is a pretty strong dude.
As he prepares for next month’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the 5-star offensive tackle and 247Sports’ top-rated prospect from Ohio has been training at the Renegade Warehouse gym in Dayton. One of the gym’s claims to fame is the 1,000-pound tire it has for weightlifters to attempt to flip.
Myers did just that, and Renegade Warehouse’s posted a video of the feat to its Facebook page earlier this week.
According to the Renegade Warehouse’s post that accompanied the video, Myers is the first athlete to ever flip the 1,000-pound tire since the gym acquired it five years ago. The tire is so heavy, it had to be placed on an industrial scale by a crane in order to confirm its weight.
Myers is also the 10th-best prospect in the nation in the class of 2017. It just goes to show, working tire-lessly in the gym pays off.
