Jordan Battle, a top 200 player in the 2019 recruiting class, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Friday. Battle is a 4-star safety and plays at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Battle is ranked as the No. 171 player and the No. 12 safety in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite.
With Battle’s commitment, Ohio State again has the No. 1 class in the Big Ten, jumping Michigan for the top spot. The Buckeyes have 13 verbal commitments in their 2019 class, and it’s ranked fifth in the nation.
