Former Ohio State DE Joey Bosa won’t report to Chargers camp amid contract dispute
Former Ohio State DE Joey Bosa is the only first-round pick from the 2016 NFL Draft who hasn’t signed.
Now, NFL Network’s Steve Wyche reports that Bosa won’t report to Chargers camp on Friday. Wyche says the two sides are “haggling over offset language and the schedule of when bonus money would be paid, with the latter issue being most pressing.”

Wyche reports Bosa wants his guaranteed money paid out earlier, while the Chargers prefer to spread it out more over time.
Bosa was the third overall pick by the Chargers in this year’s draft. He starred at Ohio State for three years, racking up 148 tackles, 51 for loss, and 26 sacks.
He was the 2014 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time consensus All-American (2014, 2015).
