Joey Bosa finally got on the field for the Chargers, but didn’t look like he’s missed a beat.
Per Pro Football Focus, the former Buckeyes star turned in the seventh-best performance of any NFL player on Sunday in just 27 snaps. PFF says he had a bigger impact than San Diego DE Corey Liuget and LB Melvin Ingram had combined in 117 plays.
Bosa had two sacks, a QB hit and four hurries on 20 snaps rushing the passer against the Raiders. So on more than a third of his passing rushing situations, he disrupted the play.

Bosa was the top-rated college football player over the last two seasons, per PFF. The Chargers took Bosa third overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he missed training camp while holding out.
Bosa and the Chargers disagreed about how his bonus would be paid out and how much he would get if the Chargers cut him before his fourth season. They ultimately reached a deal on Aug. 29.
