After Burrow announced that he was leaving Ohio State as a graduate transfer on May 8, reports linked Burrow to LSU on Friday. Burrow confirmed on Twitter that he would continue his collegiate career at LSU on Friday night.
According to NCAA graduate transfer rules, Burrow will immediately be eligible to play for LSU. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Burrow will have a legitimate shot to win LSU’s starting quarterback job for the 2018 season, as the team did not name a starter during spring practice.
Burrow spent three years at Ohio State. After he redshirted in 2015, he was Ohio State’s backup quarterback in 2016 and its third-string quarterback in ’17. In 10 career games with the Buckeyes, he completed 29 of the 39 passes he threw for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns.
