Retweets are a form of social currency that can bring people chicken nuggets and a sense of self-worth among other things.
Could RTs also bring the Buckeyes a huge commitment from an OT?
Jackson Carman, a 5-star recruit and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2018 class, was asked by an Ohio State fan how many retweets it would take for Carman to announce his commitment to the Buckeyes. Carman responded by saying it needed to hit six digits: 100,000.

After about 16 hours, the original tweet had 1,500 retweets. It probably won’t reach the magic number, that is if Carman was even serious about his offer, but it might not matter. Carman, a Fairfield, Ohio, native, is heavily considering the Buckeyes. Nearly all of his 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have him picking the Buckeyes over Clemson.
Carman (6-foot-6, 290 pounds) would be another boost to a 2018 Ohio State recruiting class that might wind up as the best in the nation. Ohio State currently has 12 members in its 2018 recruiting class, all of whom are rated as 4- or 5-star prospects. Four-star linebacker Teradja Mitchell from Virginia Beach, Va., committed to Ohio State on Friday night.
