Ohio State beat Wisconsin in December’s Big Ten title game. Now the Buckeyes are challenging the Badgers on the recruiting trail.
Ohio State has offered 2019 quarterback Graham Mertz, who verbally committed to Wisconsin in October. Mertz tweeted about the offer Wednesday evening.

Mertz is rated as a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-4 prospect from Kansas is considered the No. 7 pro-style quarterback and the No. 302 overall player in the 2019 class.
Ohio State is not the only Big Ten power to come after Mertz since his Wisconsin commitment. Mertz picked up an offer from Jim Harbaugh and Michigan last month.

Mertz transferred to Blue Valley North High School ahead of his junior season, where he had the chance to start.
“From Day 1, it’s like the kid has been at this high school since his freshman year,” his high school coach, Andy Sims, told Land of 10. “He’s only a junior. But it’s also like he’s been around these guys since third grade football or something.”
